Lincoln Station

The City of Lone Tree, Colorado is located on the upper north portion of Douglas County.  Lone Tree is part of the Front Range Urban Corridor which stretches from Pueblo , Colorado the to south on up to Cheyenne, Wyoming in the north.

Residents of Lone Tree like living in close proximity to I-25 the main Interstate highway that serves the area.  Running along I-25 is the RTD LightRail which provides transportation to Downtown Denver and the many stops in-between.

Lone Tree is a Home Rule Municipality, the government consists of a Mayor and City Council.  As a resident of Lone Tree I enjoy the fact the governing body of the City is forward thinking and always looking to improve the City.  A few years ago, Lone Tree residents voted for a tax increase in order to pay for a series of brick walls along the residential property lines along the street. This one improvement gave our neighborhoods better appeal and increased property values over neighboring areas.

Recreation in Lone Tree

Finding something to do in Lone Tree, is much easier than trying to decide which activity, there are so many.  Arnold Palmer designed the challenging and beautiful Lone Tree Golf Course.  This Par-72 championship course winds through several of Lone Tree's top neighborhoods and provides spectacular views of Downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains.

In 2009, the South Suburban parks and Recreation Department completed a renovation of Lone Tree's public pool.  Cook Creek is a lovely new facility with two pools, shade structures, picnic pavilion, concessions and lockers.

This spring the new tennis facility will open to the public.  Located at the Golf Club, the tennis facility has six post-tension outdoor tennis courts, two lighted tennis courts, picnic pavilion and a wonderful new modern playground for the children.

That's a beautiful library. We've been trying to build a new central library here for about 30 years. Each year they spend about $250,000 studying it. Seems like they should just build it and quit with all the studies.
