Shipside Village is a small, townhouse developoment built in 2001 on the banks of the Mystic River in Medford Massachusetts. Although every townhouse is not identical, they all have a first floor family room with a half bath. Some people choose to use this room as a 3rd bedroom with ensuite bath. Each of the 3 level lovely townhouses has a garage underneath and a private parking spot in front. There's a good amount of guest parking as well.
There are only 20 units all together and there is a high level of owner occupancy. Feel free to bring Fido and Fifi with you - this development is pet friendly.
One of the things that sets this townhouse development apart is its location. You can stroll through the well landscaped grounds and through the development's private gate which leads you to the banks of the Mystic River. The large grassy area is perfect for a picnic by the water, flying a kite or you can watch the boats at the yacht club. You can also see the wind turbine at the nearby McGlynn School as it generates electricity and teaches kids about alternative energy sources.
Even though the development is located in a park-like setting, you are only 1/2 mile away from Medford Square. Buses on the main street will take you quickly to the Wellington T Station on the Orange line and then straight into Boston.
