Big Lake Volunteer Fire Department

The Big Lake Area is protected and spported by a Volunteer Fire Department.  First and Foremost.... THANK YOU!!!

Now on to business... Each year, the Volunteers host a Fire Works Fundraiser Show on the 3rd of July (as fire fighters are often busy working on the 4th).  This tradition has been going for 44 years!  This year's goal is to get a "Thermal Imaging Camera" and some other Rescue Equipment.

So far this year, they have fallen somewhat short of their goal.... Currently the board shows that they only reached about 80% of their donations goal.  People of Mount Vernon, we need to help out a bit more to get the volunteers who put themselves in harm's way to protect us the equipment that they need to do the job safely.
