We; Realtors, Lenders and everyone related to the mortgage industry are the stimulus. The Housing Industry will be the driving force behind the recovery. A new homeowner enters the market and begins to pay real estate taxes which will have a positive impact on local government...that person will purchase homeowner insurance. Title companies, Realtors, Mortgage Lenders, Appraisers, Credit Companies, perhaps even Handymen will get paid. This starts the cycle of money to flow. When people are earning money they start to feel confident and generate a positive attitude which will improve their economic out look. The seller of the house will either get some cash that they can put back into the economy or get out of a situation (short sale, etc) where they have been financially strapped. The seller will in most cases improve his or her financial situation.
We are the industry that the newspapers and economists talk about the most right now..what are interest rates doing? Foreclosures improving..Tax Credits...We are in the news and we are in the news for a reason. We - all of us- want to improve our sales and marketing skills. We want to raise our level of productivity and professionalism. We can no longer wait for the economy to "get better". We have to make it better by moving product. We must begin to act and talk with enthusiasm and see the good everywhere we can and let the world know that things are getting better because WE are making them better !
