(not so) Wordless Wednesday ~ Digging Up the Past...

Michael, very cool find.  Digging up the past can be fun.  We found an arrowhead a few weeks ago along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

Looks like a mean bullet,  I would not want to get hit by that slug.

We were once building homes south of Jonesboro GA, and while we didn't find any artifacts, the earthworks were plainly visible in the woods behind the subdivision. It is awe inspiring to think of what it was like there in the heat of battle.

Were you near the McGavoct Property. I read that book a year ago. I want to go there next trip into Franklin.

Michael, It seems to me, if I remember correctly HAHA that it is the female elephant that recalls every moment and every date of that moment! Great find for your collection!

I guess its not all about home inspecting anymore. It is an archeological experience Michael...

Michael....What a cool find.  I'm glad you found it because many people wouldn't even know what they had.  Nice segue from domestic disputes to American History.

When I saw the photo I was only half-way reading through - I thought you were going to say something like 'this is the bullet that you shot at me when you were mad' back in 1984.  Glad to know it goes much further back!

Great find. Sometimes I take photos on and old section of Ft. Meade that used to be the artillery range. I hope I never find anything that didn't explode there.

What an interesting find and a certainly the history that surrounds the area makes it note worthy. 

I had an uncle who used to locate and save arrow heads. Very interesting.

I haven't looked for any in a few years. You can still find them in the farmland around franklin.
