Recently, I suggested 7 Asheville Area Second-Vacation Home Investor Factors to Consider . Now, in the series of posts to follow over the next week or so, I will take you on a tour of 7 Asheville Second-Vacation Home Locales .
Along the way, I'll point out a number of
features to look for, and a few obstacles to avoid.
As you know, Asheville, North Carolina has what it takes in terms of real estate investing in the second and/or vacation home market: An alluring, eco-friendly, and welcoming setting, things to do and see, cultural amenities, and wonderful locally-grown and harvested organic food. If these things are on your list of "must haves, " then Asheville could start out as a great place to vacation.
But soon you could decide to relocate to Asheville NC- find the land on which to build a second or vacation home- invest in a turnkey second or vacation home. Then it is time to ask three (3) basic questions:
1. Does the location work in terms of proximity to Asheville's amenities? (Proximity)
2. Will this property start out on a vacation rental program, later to become our main residence? (Zoning-Restrictions)
3. What features must this home provide? (Allure)
