Where Can You Find Pleasure Island at Lake Anna, VA?
Pleasure Island is tucked away far from the maddening crowds. Entrance is through another subdivision, Magnolia Harbour, and is accessed off Courthouse Road (Route 208) in Spotsylvania County.
This subdivision is one of the smallest at Lake Anna. It is composed entirely of waterfront lots, some with spectacular views and shorelines.
Like many of the subdivisions around Lake Anna, Pleasure Island is replete with handsome hardwood trees. Beautiful all year round, it peaks during the fall when the colorful foliage is reflected in the lake.
As one of the newer communities around Lake Anna, the developer has sold all but two of Pleasure Island's lots. These two are for sale as well as one resale lot. The lots range from $299,900 for a lot with approximately 150' of waterfront. Another lot is priced at $424,900 and has 210' along the water. For anyone looking for a lot with an abundance of waterfront and stunning views there is a two acre lot available with 465' of shoreline priced at $569,000.
The common area in Paradise Island has a ramp for the property owners to launch their boats. As this is strictly a waterfront community it was unnecessary to provide other lake side amenities generally found in common areas, such as boat slips. Owners of waterfront properties prefer to have boat shelter/houses or docks off their own shore providing easy access to their homes.
Four homes have been built in Pleasure Island. All of them are custom homes. Lots, here as elsewhere around Lake Anna, are sold as undeveloped land.
Owners than decide what type of home they would like and when they are ready to build they do. Nowhere around the lake is there any timetable as to when owners must build. It is always their call.
