Spring in the California Mountains...this happens EVERY year.

Dream Interior Redesign and Real Estate Home Staging Oakhurst CA

Every spring we look forward to the beautiful blossoms that help mother nature remind us that winter is almost over.

Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers and I have an abundance of them in my garden but they don't stand a chance.

EVERY year they rise up, get strong, open and within a day or two are flattened by a spring snow.

That happened this morning.  I should have picked more of them yesterday.

I love seeing them in the yard but that doesn't work here.

THANKS MOTHER NATURE for the reminder of how predictable you can often be.

Hi Ginger-

What a fabulous photo.  I remember well the years that we lived in Yosemite Lakes Park  Oakhurst was the place to go for the restaurants.  I hope that you are set to enjoy a beautiful California Spring!

Sara, I don't think that YLP is getting any snow out of this storm and their daffies are probably already done.  Thanks for commenting.

Fred, I LOVE Victoria.  Spent a honeymoon there and many wonder vacations.  Buchart Gardens is one of my favorite places in the world.  When I lived in the Pac. NW that's where I went for inspiration in all seasons.  Thanks for commenting.

I love daffodils - they are suck an uplifting sight after a long winter.  I will say I prefer to have them without the white stuff.  I have made a promise to myself that I will plant bulbs this fall so that I can enjoy them next spring.  Any tips?

Ginger- don't know how I missed this one.  What a beautiful shot. . . one we don't see in Florida.

Thanks Kathy.  I thought that this snow was the last of the season, but oh no we had yet another this week.  Didn't last long but it crunched more daffies.  Come-on sun!!!

A really nice photograph, Ginger!  We have been really lucky this year not to have any snow since our daffodils popped up.  The white really does look pretty on the yellow though!

Ginger, what a beautiful photo!  But I must tell you, there is no place on earth more beautiful than Atlanta in the springtime.  Did you watch the Masters last weekend?  We have that kind of color all over town.  BTW, nice framing job, too!

Thanks Carole, the wild flowers and others are abundant this year.  I appreciate you commenting.

Hi Sharon, it's snowing AGAIN right now, and if it doesn't STOP soon it will also collapse my bearded irises...STOP it darnit.  Thanks for stopping!

Well hi there Patsy.  Good to "see" you.  I would love to come to the East coast some spring.  As we watched the masters yesterday I was telling my husband how I love the rhodies and azaleas on that course.....come on spring!!!  Thank you for commenting!

Thank you Maureen.  Suppose to snow again tomorrow and Wed, but hopefully it won't get down to this elevation.
