Just yesterday I picked up another book by Michael Pollan, Food Rules - An Eater's Manual. About two years ago I read Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma, and was impressed by its detailed catalouging of the true dilemma that we have as omnivores - to find, harvest, and consume food. You can see the first simple rule of eating HERE.
As you will probably discover, I have an affection for good food. My quest? To educate others how important our farmers, ranchers, and overall agricultural environment are, to our food supply. We must act, as consumers and community members, to be aware of the importance of the soil that grows our produce, and the eco-systems which allow for animals to be raised. It is all very much connected, and becomming more aware of what we are eating is not only better for our health, but also for our local economies.
