Writing Articles from you Active Rain Blogs

Services for Real Estate Pros with Sibdu.com/eCREsystems, LLC

In a previous life, I was a journalist -- photographer, reporter, newscast producer, editor, etc. I guess that's why I still like to write. It's in my blood.

I also like to read. And quite frankly, I've read a lot of really, really good content that's being generated by people here on Active Rain. In fact, I think most of it can be re-used and re-purposed to help you build your businesses.

There's a Web site I use called EZineArticles.com. What it does is offers your content to publishers for free. I suggest that anyone here who has done a "how-to" or other type of advice blog entry go to the site and see what they can contribute.

I've seen a lot of articles here that with just a few changes (only to attract a wider audience), can be really good pieces for a more-general readership.

There's plenty of opportunity to plug yourselves in the articles you do, so don't worry about that. But if you're looking to build credibility for yourself, and maybe even pick up some direct sales in the process, this is the way to go. Normally, I'd go on about what the site can do specifically for you, but they've done themselves already. So check it out.

I've written a few articles for the site. I'm not sure if they've been published anywhere yet (it's only been a month). But they do pop up in Google searches for myself or my company. So that's one immediate way in which using the site can build your credibility. Plus, if your material gets accepted, you're then called an "expert author," which always can be used in sales/marketing material, etc.

Give it a try. I'd love to use the Comments section here for any success stories as a result of an EZineArticles.com submission, as well as for overall comments.

Good luck, and happy writing.

I am a writer, born with it. It is in my blood. Active Rain has given me a great platform to get to write! This is a good post and it is true. I have been submitting articles on other subjects that I love to write about. It is a great way to get a link to your website too because people can take your articles and post them on their websites as long as they leave your link in your article. Katerina

Has been on my radar far too long. I need to be more proactive. Thanks for the push.

I am now an Expert Author on Ezines.  I have posted the Icon they provide on all my websites. The search engines are definitely picking up the articles.

I have about 19 articles posted and will soon reach the Platinum Level.

There have been no direct real estate sales that I can attribute to the articles yet.  However, I think the web exposure is just another tool to get buyers and sellers to my web sites.

I have a couple of articles that I've had posted just this month.  Both have had good traffic, and one has been published several times.

I use Ezinearticles also. I would also suggest taking a look at Isnare. The service is not free but is relitively inexpensive and I have had very good results with them as well.

I've posted a few articles in the past on Ezinearticles -- now that I'm actively blogging, I should take your suggestion and start modifying and posting some more to Ezinearticles and see what type of traffic it brings in.

Great tip and one that I will look into. Real Estate professionals should look at every opportunity to get more exposure and expand their brand. Great post.

Thanks to everyone who's commented so far. My feeling about content is that one should use it over and over and over again -- as much as possible.

Thank you Bob - this is a great resource, one that I haven't tapped yet.  AR has given me the opportunity to see if I like writing and to see if what I write is palatable to others to read.  I'm still learning :D

Christina, et. al:

AR is a great starting point for blogging and writing in general. I'd consider an EZineArticles.com site the second step up. From there, you can start submitting what's called "contributed articles" to local business newspapers, etc. Then you can even re-purpose what you did for the EZineArticles and local papers and put them in a newsletter that you do!

Or you can take the content and put it back in your blog, thereby completing the "Circle of Content."
