Now You Need to Worry About a Facebook Check Too!
This is becoming more and more true - not only in the Cooperative Board world, but in the job hunt world, as well. Big brother is watching!
In New York we have cooperatives as a form of ownership. You need to pass a Cooperative Board who reviews your finances, references, and does background and credit checks in order for you to close. Be careful what your kids put out there on Facebook as the couple in this story found out their co-op board went to Facebook and checked them out and also went to their's kids Facebook pages to check them out as well. They didn't get the apartment.
