Ironwood Country Club is Robson Builders 4th community in Sun Lakes, AZ. A guard gated Active Adult community built around an 18-hole, Par 67 Golf Course, it's a country club lifestyle on the Southern edge of Chandler, Arizona.
The Ironwood Country Club features heated pools, tennis courts and restaurant along with a long list of clubs and activities enjoyed by the residents.
This months activities include bus trips to area Broadway Shows and Poolside Karaoke just to name a couple.
Many of the residents enjoy golf and there are leagues for all ~ Golf for the Ladies ~ Golf for the men and Couples Golf too!
Residents of Ironwood come from all over the world. Sit out by the pool and your sure to meet someone from Canada or even your home town. It truly is a small town atmosphere.
Ironwood shares and HOA with Oakwood Country Club (Robson's newest gated community in Sun Lakes) and the two form the IronOaks Community. This means the communities share the amenities. While Ironwood Country Club offers an 18 hole country club, residents can also golf at the Oakwood Country Club which offers three 18-hole courses.
Or, feel like venturing out...then hop on over to the Oakwood Country Club pool or vice versa.
I asked IronOak Residents and recent home buyers, Jim & Laurie Burke what attracted them to the area and it pretty much says it all!
"Amy, it was exactly one year ago that we met with you to show us what was available in the area. Obviously we were impressed enough to return to Massachusetts, sell our house there and take the plunge and purchase our home here. This has proven to be a wise decision.
Everyone we talk to here relates a story about being attracted by the weather (glorious), the location (convenient), or the activities (plentiful). But once here the talk is about the great times spent with friends and family. And the same thing is happening to us. From the gang at the Tennis Center, to the "dog people" on the walking trails and Diamond Lake, to our friendly and helpful neighbors we have always felt welcome. It is a nice feeling to arrive here in August without knowing a soul and by March we have formed so many friendships. And now when we talk to our many friends back in cold and damp New England we talk less about the weather and more about how nice life is here."
