Today we weep in great sadness remembering How God's only begotten Son gave his life for us so we could have eternal life.
It is due to this great sacrifice that we can rejoice on Easter Sunday in the Day Jesus was resurrected from the Dead, Easter morning to show us all his Glory and go sit at the right hand of the Father.
I can only hope that our sacrifices to the Lord can come to honoring Jesus for the amazing thing that he has done. I wait and weep for the incredible sacrifice of being hung on the cross in the most painful death any human being can experience. Just like God to go all the way, He does no small task, so of course it is just like God to pick the most painful of human experiences to put himself through.
There are so many things that our God does that never cease to amaze me with wonder and joy but what is so incredible to me now is a fact that I just learned recently about the Crucifixion.
Did you know that Jesus was predicted in the Old Testament 800 years before the birth of Jesus and 800 years before the time that death by crucifixtion was invented.The Prophet and the People had never heard of someone dying on the cross, It had not been invented yet...Amazing!
That is just another sign from the Heavens that God has all of this and all our days planned out for way before we even have a clue what is going on.
All because he loves us so and all because God is so good all the time.
We can thank him for the gift of the great comforter, the Holy Spirit that has come to console us all our days on this earth until we come into God's Glory.
So don't try to tell me that God is in us and we are God that is the most ignorant statement that I hear from many famous people..Yeah Right, We are not that all knowing, all powerful or even the tiniest bit a part of God.
WE are his children born and created by him for his pleasure, to serve him all the days of our lives and eventually live in his Glory.....Thank you Jesus for the great gift you have bestowed on us Today on Good Friday.
