The Tree - In Need of Revitalization

The Tree

We have a tree that was given to us several years ago. Each year when it becomes too cold for it to remain outside, we bring it into the house. This tree does not like the inside of our house. After showing growth, new shoots of life filled with green leaves, the tree begins to wither. Leaves are shed and slowly the vibrancy seems to be sucked from this tree.

Recently we were able to return it to the place it loves - our deck. You can see all the dead branches which have been pruned from the tree. This year the tree actually fared better than years past, but I know over the next month or so this tree will begin to shoot forth new life. Signs of revitalization will spring forth.

As we celebrate Easter tomorrow, I hope you are finding the promise of resurrection and revitalization springing forth in your life. Take time to reflect on where new growth needs to occur. Possibly you are in need of some pruning in order to make way for some renewed vibrancy. Resolve to let the sunshine (sonshine) bring forth life.

Hi Cal,

This tree looks just like my ficus tree here in my home office. I pruned it back last year because it was such a mess and it is real nice now. It too will be returning to it's favorite spot on our deck eher shortly where it loves to grow all summer long. Good post.... enjoyed it a lot. Happy Easter!

Cal, This is a great post about adapting and I almost missed it. Those type of trees are hard to grow and you are accomplishing it!
