What a beautiful weekend for soccer! This started out such a gorgeous day, with no snow, sleet or rain! YEA!!!!
My 14 yr old son Ethan plays soccer for Broken Arrow Fusion. He has played with the same coach and most of the same players for almost 2 years now. We don't win alot, but our Coach Jud Russel is teaching our kids more than just soccer. He prays with the team before each game, makes them keep their grades up if they want to play and requires them to respect not only him, but their parents and teachers. As a single mom, he is priceless in Ethan's life. THANKS JUD!!!!

Well today wasn't the end of the soccer season, but it is for Ethan. He was injured at the end of the game. Those knees take hard hits when running full speed ahead. Coach carried him to the car and I carried him to the Dr.
Thank goodness for MedNow open 7 days a week and located at 81st and 145th E Ave.
You would think that when you are injured and going to a Urgent Care Center there would be tears and pain.
Well, you don't know my son, Ethan. He had the nurses laughing from the time we walked in!!!!
Nurse Viri Diana was rolling when he was giving her "the what for" as she was trying to get his temp and pulse. And when Julie came in to take him to X-Ray in a wheel chair, OH MY GOODNESS!!!! A 14yr old with wheels!
Well thank goodness...nothing is broken or torn! Crutches and back to the Dr in a week!
Gary the Nurse Practitioner was a great help in checking out the entire knee. He was thorough and explained very well. Ethan has to take a stroll around the nurses station to make sure he can operate his crutches.
Well he passed his test and Gary, Julie and Viri Diana was ready to go home. I know he was the high light of their day!
Well now it's mom's turn. Guess who gets to pay! Melissa, at the front counter was great in getting us checked in when we walked in and also checked out and on our way out the door. These guys at MedNow Urgent Care Center in Broken Arrow Oklahoma at the corner of 81st and 145th E Ave are TERRIFIC!!
Thank you guys for taking such good care of Ethan and mostly putting up with his great sense of humor!
But if your going to have an injured child, it's better for them not to be in pain!
