PALO DURO STATE PARK: Today should be an absolutely perfect day in the panhandle of Texas and particularly in Amarillo! Head on down to Palo Duro Canyon (The Grand Canyon of Texas) and check out all the fun things to do there!
History: Palo Duro Canyon State Park consists of more than 20,000 acres in Armstrong and Randall Counties, south of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle. The land was deeded by private owners in 1933. You can check out their website here: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/palo_duro/
