Imagine living in a place where a walk to your downtown office only takes minutes, where you can bring your children to look at zebras, polar bears and orangutans, where you can play 18 holes of golf minutes before invigorating your senses in an Imax movie theater or with summer evening jazz concerts  and international cuisine is more than plenty. It’s not too hard to imagine all of this if you find yourself living in Denver’s City Park Neighborhood.

Denver’s City Park neighborhood is bounded by York Street on the west, Colorado Blvd on the east 23rd Avenue to the north and Colfax Avenue to the south.    In encompasses the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the 18-hole City Park Golf Course & Clubhouse. Its also home to the very beautiful and very historic City Park, a 370-acre park with two man-made lakes used for boating, fishing, hobby-boat sailing and feeding the ducks. A drive along Colfax Avenue will quickly introduce anyone to culture and cuisine which is uniquely Denver and very much worth the visit.

Homes in the City Park neighborhood generally range in the $300-450,000 range, are comprised of predominantly turn of the century brick homes, but most recently there’s been an influx of high end condominium high rises in the neighborhood, as developers have recognized this area for its obvious advantages of local amenities, proximity to downtown and access to highways. Property prices are still a little lower in Denver’s City Park neighborhood than surrounding areas such as Congress Park, Cherry Creek or Park Hill, but if you’re thinking of investing in property there, hurry, because locals are buying up these properties, despite a slower economy, as they recognize the value City Park offers.

Find yourself in Denver’s City Park Neighborhood.
