The University of Kentucky's School of Journalism and Telecommunications, in cooperation with the University of Edinburgh's Centre for the Study of the Two World Wars, will be holding a conference on War, Journalism and History in Lexington, Kentucky April 8-11, 2010. The theme of the conference is "Covering conflicts in the modern world." This conference is free to the public and a great opportunity to hear a perspective that is not presented in the mainstream media.
Conference participants will include former ambassador and special Middle East envoy Ryan Crocker; Robert Fisk, foreign correspondent and columnist for the London Independent; Abderrahim Foukar, Washington Bureau Chief of Al Jazeera; Lebanese journalist Jihad El-Zein of An Nahar; film star Steve Zahn; Dale Dye, film producer and military consultant; Molly Bingham and Steve Connors, journalists and documentary makers; Simon Wilson, Washington Bureau Chief of the BBC; John Walcott, Washington bureau chief of McClatchy newspapers; Col.
