New York's Annie we know who you are...

Real Estate Agent

 have you ever experienced the "aha" moment;
Well, Sal & I love to drive each other crazy with various questions [seldom desiring an answer]

Recently, HGTV has been touting a new show  ; 'Selling New York--where you sell a lifestyle'
nice Branding--but really not too revealing, UNTIL:
...a preview item of an early episode depicted one of the "Sellers of Life Styles", is taking a client
   in from Paris to see various properties. In the episode [which I listened to & Sal watched upstairs], the
   agent states to her client..." This was Annie Leibovitz's " which time, I went upstairs to Sal's domain & asked "Who's Annie Leibovitz"
...Sal's answer was " Don't know, but sounds as if we should know"

That statement is a LOL positions as we are finding that too many names in the news lately are 'unknowns' in our sphere of influence or being influenced.

An answer to our question came on Easter Sunday.
...came via one of our local papers
...which naturally was dutifully recycled Sunday p.m.[so I had to google the info.]
...the Answer was found in a front page article
...the article explained the very sad story of Annie Leibovitz's legal [money] problems
...the story is probably known by all of you, so no need to repeat here
...I found the story and shouted to Sal
...Sal came running in from the garage [hey, didn't know he was out THERE]
...Sal came running & saying "What? WHAT"
...I informed Sal that " I know who Annie Leibovitz IS. it is right here in the paper"
...Sal, looking stunned since he ran inside for this [no problem it is an attached garage after all]
   asked who is she. I read the basics of the short article to him; without a comment, he returned to the
   garage where he sits in "His" chair and smokes his pipe.

OK--as I read this posting, I'm asking what is the big deal here;
well it seemed such at the time
it was a moment where we garnered new information to store within our respective memories
when you are our age, you learn to treasure these syntax-charging events.
Yah, you are right, we really need to get out more.

How to tie this to our profession:
OK, when you get that client who insists on purchasing their third large, expensive condo or Home,perhaps you could direct them to be fiscally careful.

Sure!  That would be touchy at best, and should be left alone.

or how about this...when you are showing clients some upper-end properties, perhaps you can drop names too.

Actually, the only time you may feel pressured to dispense with financial advice about NOT spending
carelessly would be within your own circle of family [possibly ? friends]

We, on the other hand, need not concern ourselves with financial advice except to ourselves.

[Had Sal read this & since he left before posting, decided to upload his Meez, too.]

.Actually, the new Meez that was made for him has same background, same character, but white shoes, light grey hat--if was there in My Documents & now it is gone. sob, sob
:}  Found it, and here it is  [yes, I love to torment him]
