The sun is shining and the warm breezes are whispering your name, so now is the time to take a trip to Gulf Shores. There are so many activities in the Gulf Shores area so be sure to plan to your stay, so you have the mix of low-key and high adventure day to make your trip relaxing yet memorable.

Perhaps your starting point will be a relaxing afternoon on the beach. Before you get too comfortable, you may want to grab some lunch; if you do not feel like driving anywhere, you can walk to any of the following places for a wonderful light meal.

Check out Bruster's for Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs. Bruster’s is located at East Beach Blvd., across the street from Gulf Shores Public Beach.

You can find cheeseburgers, loaded nachos, chili cheese fries and more at the Pink Pony Pub, located at 221 East 2nd Ave.

Want heavier fare?  If you are looking for a rack of delicious ribs, be sure to check out Ribs & Reds, located at 128 E. 1st Ave.

Maybe you are in the mood for a tasty ice cream treat at Scoops Old Fashion Ice Cream, located at 601 Gulf Shores Parkway, Gulf Shores.

After your meal, you may be interested in burning off the extra calories with a game of beach volleyball. Spiked! Volleyball nets are set up at Gulf Shores Public Beach and the beach behind the Flora-Bama Lounge and Package on Perdido Key. Don’t forget your volleyball.

If you are looking to ride the waves with a little surfing, Alabama Point Bridge, affectionately known by local residents as ‘’The Pass,’’ is the best place to go. Boogie boarding and body surfing can be done along any beach. It is easy to find available along the sea wall.

Maybe you’d just like to sit on the white sandy beaches and watch the emerald beaches lap the shore when you look up form your book or maybe take a walk long miles of amazing coastline.  You may even find your mind drifting to thoughts of living here all year round.
