I have been meaning to say a few words about the RESA conference last January in Las Vegas. It has taken a while for all of the input to sort of percolate into my brain and settle down!.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that I went! The whole experience made me realize what a force we all are !

I am still reading and learning and trying new things that I never would have if I had stayed home.

I was VERY fortunate to find a roommate here on AR too. We both just leapt in and we really had a great time together!. We even did a bit of playing tourist on Saturday before the "meet & greet" later that evening. I would do this again in a heartbeat! We are still in touch regularly and I would highly recommend that if you plan to go to the conference next year you room with a stranger!.. ( To be fair, I think I learned a lot more form her than she did from me!)

And some of you may have noticed my recent photo change... Guess who took that pic and where?,, I don't want to embarass her,, but THANKS BETH ! ( And isn't that a FAB ice sculpture in the background?)

New friends... Knowledge... and an updated portrait... One more time in 2011 ?

Well.. If there were any detractors, they are keeping their opinions to themselves!.. At the ripe old age of 66 this was the FIRST CONFERENCE I had ever attended in my life, so I really had no expectations or past experiences to compare it to..,, And perhaps why I was a bit overwhelmed with trying to sift through it all for the past two months!

I do hope that over the next months, we might begin to chat some more here about what we might like to experience in 2011.. It would be nice to hear from more of those who did attend the first conference with input and ideas that we might act on..

Thank you for the reminder Anne. It WAS a fabulous conference and a great "get to know your AR friends" time! I am also curious as to any input for next year. Some of the break out sessions could have been a little longer than 30 minutes ;)

Hi Anne,

Roommate Beth here. It was SO much fun getting to know you and learning (and shopping) together. I'm still jealous of your beautiful shawls/throws that you wear and use in your staging.

I can't believe I missed this post until now. Would you believe that you actually posted it on my BIRTHDAY! If I believed in Karma, I'm sure it would be in there somewhere.
