Moving With Children

By

Many Buyers and Sellers chose to move over the summer because of their children. Most want to acclamate to their new location and home before the start of the school year. Researchers claim: 'It makes good sense to give kids the chance to settle in before taking on the challenges of a new school, no matter what their ages.' It is very important to LISTEN to your children to hear and address their concerns, they should not be ignored. It is also very important to involve them in the entire process. House hunting, packing, notifiying friends and family etc.  Always talk about the move in a positive way. Remember children repeat what they hear. Great advice. We were able to involve our kids in the purchase of our soon-to-be home. Our daughter even gave it a name--The Jungle House. It has many large trees including a nice weeping willow that would be perfect for a tree house. She is very excited to move in and it makes her feel good that she was part of the decision making process.
