Realtor Lawsuits?

Reblogger Brett Pehrson

Here is an interesting blog post I came across for all the Realtors who haven't seen this, yet!

Original content by Walter Hayes MO# 1999078273

I had someone yesterday tell me that supposedly homeowners who have lost their homes to foreclosure are coming after agents and suing because their home didn't sell and ended up being foreclosed on. Supposedly the lawyers are going after the E&O Insurance in these cases. Anyone out there hear about this? Anyone have it happen to them? Give the rest of us some details if its happened to you or you know about this happening to someone else.

Thanks!

I had heard a little something about this at one of our office meetings.

I believe it, though.

Not only do we have ambulance-chasing attorneys, but we now have transaction-chasing attorneys.

It's a HUGE part of so much that is wrong in our country right now.

I think we need to start a group of attorney-chasing attorneys to keep them in check.

I MEAN HONESTLY!! SOMEONE GETS THEMSELF INTO A SITUATION WHERE THEY ARE FINANCIALLY DISTRESSED, AND IT'S THE REALTORS FAULT??!!  SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT ONE TO ME.

We need to stop this practice, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.  I am not going to pay increased E&O insurance premiums because we have a group of transaction-chasing attorneys who want to rape and pilfrage for a few bucks.

I can tell you what may happen.  If this really is the case, then agents are probably going to start boycotting or at least not wanting to touch short sales any more.  And that will hurt those homeowners who could most certainly use the help of a good realtor.

I am so going to post a blog about this!!
