So I hear the average....

The Average age of agents... well I guess I'm so young and currently at age 26 about to go to 27... but my average colleague is age 52 and female...according to the study I was reading.  Well there is an average blend of males and females at my office but they say the average agent is 52 and female... have no clue where this study came from but I suppose it is true.

 

The average agent enters the real estate field at age 39.  Wow well I started at age.... 23 and going on 24... I guess I considered myself the youngest guy in the field!   The only thing I tend to have trouble with is when clients look at my age I have to "prove" over and over that I am skilled!  Well anyway I guess that will go away when I am the "Average age of 39!"

I suppose I got thrust into the career at a young age coming from the banking industry in 2006 but majority of my skills are applied to real estate so it really does work out!

Just think how successful you will be by the time you reach the average age.  If you stay in the same city, and take care of your clients, and stay in touch, you will be going strong and at the top of the game in your 50's.

Thomas - I started at 23 as well and I found out I focused more on my age than my clients did.  Only once did a seller tell me he thought I was there to sell girl scout cookies.  I was by far the baby of the office and everyone else was at least a decade or three older than me, so this average probably isn't far off base.

Thanks... well at least I've never had a seller say that to me! Lol well I hope I come up with something to overshadow my "age" for a while until I hit 39 !  Lol!  So far my skills usually shine through despite my age!
