A Great Week for the Good Guys!

Just let me say at the right from the start, this post has NOTHING to do with real estate!  So if you only read real estate blogs here on AR for real estate, this post is not for you.

This was a REALLY good week for me as a sports fan.  You see, I am a huge college basketball fan and more precisely I'm a HUGE Duke University fan, so I was thrilled that Duke won the national championship on Monday night.  It was great to see such an "un-athletic" team made up of mostly Juniors and Seniors win the biggest prize of all again for the fourth time under a coach who isn't mired in any scandals and is the pinnacle of coaching, pro or collegiate!  A very big win for the good guys!

I am also a huge golf fan and more precisely I'm a HUGE Phil Mickelson fan. So you can imagine my delight when my boy Phil goes and wins his third Masters title, all the while showing pure class and love for his family.  It is good to see that there men out there that can perform at the highest level of their industry and STILL be a good and decent husband and father.  It's nice to see a man getting headlines for being a tremendously talented athlete and for knowing what is truly important in this life.  If you saw Phil and Amy after his big win, you know that Phil is one of the good guys.

It's really nice to see the good guys finishing first, because regardless of the stereotype, it proves to all of us, it can be done!

I will remember this week for a long, long time.  A week where the good guys shined!

All the best until next time!

Kevin

That was a good win for Phil. I echo your sentiments regarding Phil and way he handles himself and his life. There is a good role model for kids. Great Picture of him and his wife at the end.

Thank you

Kevin,  I too was thrilled with the Masters... Phil played so well yesterday... I mean he was "in the zone" !  Today... he got the job done and that shot he hit on 13... wow!  It was awesome!  Loved it!  Kathy

Scott- It really is a great example for kids.  Nice moment at the end.

Kathy- He missed 3 eagles in row by 6 inches! Crazzzy!!!  What was better?  Today on thirteen or yesterdays eagle from the fairway?  Unbelievable!

Tiffany- Have you ever met Phil?  I followed him the whole time at the 2002 US Open at Bethpage.  Great guy!

Kevin - Mickey (that's what I call him) is a very good man and he deserved to win.  While is was too bad that Westwood didn't win after playing really well the whole tournament, I was ecstatic that Mickey won.  After all that Mickey has gone through this year and to still play a great game, this win for him was really significant.

Donne-  I call him "Phillie"  Can you imagine performing that well with all that has gone on?  I couldn't be happier for him and his family.  I'm so glad Amy and his Mom are doing well.

Kevin,  I don't like golf and I usually would never watch it but I was thrilled that Phil won and exactly for the reasons you stated.  I am bored to tears with any mention of Tiger and don't care one lick about his return to religion or blah, blah, blah.   Yes sometimes the good guys do win, will actually they always win, we just don't always know it.
