That's right I said goodbye to Constant Contact. Many of you may know of Constant Contact the widely used e-newsletter company. Up until last week I used them to email my list of over 450 past customers, business partners, and people who know me as a Realtor that knows the Eastside. It has been a great tool. Gone are the days of licking stamps and wondering if they just round filed my old snail mail newsletter. (Quick note: I still snail mail about 100 newsletters, to the electronically challenged folks)
So for the past year I have used Constant Contact and we love it. We love the fact that we can drive folks to our website, home searches, and even our Active Rain Blog!(Shameless Plug.) Then along comes this mailer....yea snail mail....that extolls the benifits of changeing to RatePoint.com Turns out Rate Point wants to take Constant Contact's marketshare, and they are using good old fasioned snail mail to do it. Not a bad idea.(there is a lession here for us Realtors) Anyhoo I go to http://www.ratepoint.com and I think...hmmm I must be in the wrong place this is a product survey site. Reputation is everything it said. Then it hits me Ratepoint is email marketing and so much more.
Acording to Wikipedia: "RatePoint founded in 2006 is an American company based in Needham, Massachusetts, that provides web-based customer feedback and online reputation management solutions for businesses."
Oh but they are so much more. Realtors, check out the custom surveys, and review/reputation management features, not to mention the fully functional email campain management with unlimited photos, facebook & twitter intergration(it will post to your streams every two weeks to ask folks to sign up to your newsletter!) The features blow Constant Contact away. The price is the same(BTW they are offering 1/2 off your montly rate if you move from CC) It took me 5 miniutes to transfer my contacts.....oh and did I mention it loged onto my gmail account and pulled in every email that was in my contact manager......
Since I started using it, my list of emails has more than doubled from 450 to over 1000k. It took me just a bit to get the hang of the new editor, but with my first email, I heard back from people both in person and via the email at how good the email was. I makes me wonder if my CC emails were even getting delivered. The stats that I get are better the CC's in that CC would record each time the email was opened. So a user would open it more than once and CC would say that was a view. My reports in RP show open and viewers, or actual views, so I can get a real number of viewers.
In my view RatePoint is on the move. I highly suggest you look into it as one of your tools in your tool box.
