Omaha Real Estate Market March 2010

By
Real Estate Agent with Nebraska Realty - NE RE# 20030540

March 2010 Omaha Real Estate Market Report. March 2010 is off to a good start.  Active listings increased by 241 listings from March 8, 2010 to April 8, 2010.  March 2010 active listings were 3,619, compared to March 2009 active listings of 3,150 an increase of 15% year to year.  Sold listings for March 2010 were 502, which is up 28% compared to March 2009.

The increase in active listings is not a surprise.  Spring is around the corner and the best time to sell a home is now through July. The race is on for home buyers and sellers to take advantage of the federal tax credit offered to home buyers.  The increase in supply will have an affect on pricing.  Buyers continue to gravitate towards homes in better condition and competitively priced.

Steve,

Great information! Are you having an open house Sunday? Did you hear about the "Coats 4 Kids" drive? Just enter your open house in Paragon and it'll be on 40+ websites next day. Enter something like this in the Open House comments:

1st Annual Realtor's Coats 4 Kids Clothing Drive. Please bring new or slightly used winter garments to this open house. (Adult Clothing Also Accepted)

Signs are available at the OABR but I think somebody brought dozens to the KW office.
