Mary Lou- it seems to me I've seen coffee beans set around in cute little dishes in some retail stores. Good tip to know!

Did you know that is why most perfume counters have small jars of coffee beans just "lying" around?  It's because smelling coffee between fragrances "cleanses" the nose receptors for the next sniff test.  (learn something new every day ;)

I use ground coffee in 99% of my homes, here are a few examples:

Note the flower vase ;)        With a simple candle      Add a few shells and viola! (eats up musty smells in bathrooms)  also great to use in kitchens and breakfast nooks.

Nope. Never heard of it. I can see how it would absorb odors though.  I'm going to give it a whirl in my next home.

Mary Lou, I'd never heard of this.  I was about to ask exactly how one uses coffee grounds, then saw Connie's response and photos!  I can't wait to try this.  Better dust off my coffee grinder.

I like staging with coffee beans inside of coffee mugs when setting up a table or bar area in the kitchen...they smell great and it looks cute too!  

Great tip Mary Lou!  Love the look of coffee beans in the glass containers, but never thought about using ground coffee.  Nice inexpensive alternative to fancy rocks and glass beads.  Thanks for sharing your amazing wealth of knowledge!

We love to use coffee beans, cinnamonbark, and scented candles. Flavored coffee adds a touch too.

Years ago I, when I was in the retail business (sold cosmetics among other things), we used coffee beans to have clients sniff between sniffing perfumes - this helped to cleanse their sense of smell palette.  Still I have never thought to use it for staging - though I have for other visual reasons...
