As you may already know, homebuyers have until the end of April 2010 to use the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit and the purchase must also close by June 30, 2010.
There is good news for members of the military and certain other federal employees serving outside of the United States. Members of the military, Foreign Service and employees of the intelligence community are eligible under a special ruling and have until April 30, 2011 to place a principal residence under contract and close the purchase by June 30, 2011.
