Now that I have your attention, let me explain. I got up this gorgeous morning to preview a beautiful condo located near downtown Greenville. I did everything right. I called ahead to get the parking code and the door code. I even arrived 15 minutes early, just in case there was a glitch. I'm feeling good y'all. I get to the door, of course the code doesn't work. I assume that it's my fault, because sometimes I multitask. Haven't you ever simultaneously read your dinner and cooked your mail at the same time? Understand, where I'm coming from? We all make mistakes. Needless to say I call the customer service rep who calls the listing agent who after several tries can never give me the correct code. Thank God, for Fed Ex. I snuck in, and it was worth it. I plan on getting a listing out of this for all my trouble. It's all about customer service and preparation. What if I had a buyer who wanted to offer cash on the spot? Some mistakes can be costly so please communicate with the owner on a weekly, if not daily basis.
Jewel - have had the same experience myself many times. Rather frustrating.

Glad to see there are others that loose track when they multi-task. It drives me crazy when I cannot remember what I did with the car keys, but when I came in with them, I had something sto take to the office in my hand, I had mail in other hand that needed to go in a separate room, My graddaughter was yakking in my ear, and I was thinking about my showing appt tomorrow. Finally remembered where I laid those @#%^# keys!
WOW! That's Your first blog post?? You're off to a head start with a flying leap, girl. Hope you get a great lisiting out of the effort that you put forth.
Thank God for Fed-Ex indeed (LOL). I know what you mean. I had a buyer sitting outside a house with three different lock boxes on it and none of the codes worked. We were on our phones for 45 minutes waiting for the listing broker to bring a key. She never showed up. Lost the sale because in three days we couldn't show. My out of state buyer had to go home. Irked me to no end that we never gained access to the house.
Welcome to the Rain Jewel, its the place to vent, share your knowledge, laugh and learn. See you in the
That was a great article. The police actaully showed up when it happened to me. The alarm went off, I had buyers with me, there was no one home, the listing agent was not answering the phone and the showing center didn't have any notes about an alarm. But the police was nice since we were standing outside. Took my card and we all left.
Elizabeth, once I slipped through the doors, I caught a lady with dog checking me out. It was funny because I was dressed professionally and holding my Supra Key. I bet she had the police on speed dial. Once she grilled about me about the who, what, and why, I was good to go.
