What a beautiful day today in Plymouth, Minnesota. We woke up to a mild thunderstorm and the fresh smell of much needed rain. What a nice prelude to another beautiful Early Spring day here in Minnesota where there has always been a possibility of snow, even as late as April 25th and where Mother's Day many times is still cool enough for light coats that hide the lovely spring frocks. Easter for instance was the first in a few years that I remember having the opportunity to hide the childrens Easter eggs in something that really resembled clumps of green grass. You have to know, I grew up where there was always green grass, flowers and clumps of clover for hiding those Easter basket goodies.
It is now April 13th and time to take a look at the market statistics for the last month in Plymouth. You'll see the very latest monthly "Skinny" and hopefully by the time you see it the April 2010 report will be active. If it is you will see that for the third consecutive month, home prices in the Twin Cities 13-county metropolitan area showed a year-over-year increase. We haven't seen three consecutive months of progressively increasing year-over-year growth since June 2004. Our inventory is closer to normal and at least until the Tax Credit ends on April 30th we are seeing increased interest from Buyers.
