Laura Resnick Realtor vs. Laura Resnick Author

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Associates West Bartlett, Il. 60103

What to do when someone else has your name?  I am sure that we have all tried googling ourselves to make sure that we are appearing on the internet as we hope.

I am sure there is a way to benefit from the person with whom I share my name. At least the searches are shared  with a professional and successful person. I have contacted her and have discussed the fact that we bump into each other, all over the internet.

does anyone have any tips on how they might have dealt with a similar situation? if you look up Laura Resnick, I do come up, but someone searching for me might also be inundated with information about the author Laura Resnick, also known as Laura Leone. To make it even funnier, she and and I are both from Chicago and are approximately the same age.

suggestions?

Nothing worthwhile to contribute, except there are a few Karen Rices around too.  :)  I dunno what to think or do about it...?

My advice is to get your name out there as much as you can on the internet.  I'm number one & two for my name and have 6 in the top 20 on Google.

A few years back I had another Brian Block contact me by e-mail with the hopes of getting to know each other and maybe meeting up some day.  To be honest, I was not interested and thought he had to much spare time, and was a bit freaked out by it.

There are a few Lane Baileys out there, but I haven't talked with any of them.  But, if you brand yourself away from your name, you might have a better chance at topping the list.

BTW, I used to have a friend name Greg Peck.  He would probably NEVER make the top of Google for his name.
