Is American Home Mortgage Next?
I have been following this company for a few years, why? Because I worked for them for over 3 years and I really loved the company, they were great to work for and had some excellent products. AHM had some outstanding technology and marketing systems. In a nutshell I thought AHM had it all.... I would have not left if it were not for the promises made by Wells Fargo to get me to join their company, they blew so much smoke it was not funny, after a few months of courtship and promises (unfilled) of the Great Name Wells Fargo that would bring me to the next level (not) I left AHM for the the Evil Empire (mistake), no I don't mean the NY Yankees I mean Wells Fargo. Now Wells is a solid company and they do practice great business ethics but if you are in this business to make money the only one making money at Wells are the investors and the top dogs! I like AHM so much that when I decided to leave the Evil Empire I was asked by AHM to consider going back to AHM which was very tempting but following the company on a regular basis I started to see signs of the ship sinking so I seek-ed out an alternative, I found a company that I thought was modeled after AHM because of all the great things they had, marketing,technology,outstanding customer care and people who cared about their employees. While in training at Benchmark Mortgage I asked one of the partners if they every worked at AHM and they said neither had but they seemed so similar which made me feel like I was back at home with AHM again but better!
This past few weeks a bunch of negative news came out about AHM and I think I was really beginning to see a hole in the side of that ship, even though people I know at AHM said things were still great the news keeps getting worse, will it get better? Does not look so good for AHM
It seems the Melt down in the mortgage industry is starting to affect the Prime Market Now.
