Positive signs from an expanding local St Cloud Business Gaia Gardens are not surprising
At a time when you log on to your computer and are immediatly hit with the yahoo headline "American cities with sinking economies", I am not surprised that one of my favorite local businesses is actually EXPANDING!
Dave and Lori Roggenkamp at Gaia Garden Designs have doubled the size of their green house
over this past winter with their expansion project, upgraded their website, sent out mailers (with great coupons), and posted 3 billboard signs around St Cloud.
My wife, Liz, met Dave at the local farmers marketheld on Saturday mornings at the Bremer Bank parking lot in downtown St Cloud MN looking for locally grown organic cucumbers to can pickles. Since her first meeting she has become a huge fan. (Me too, the pickles were great!) We have since learned a great deal from Dave about how to help our garden produce more without the aid of chemicals.
I am not surprised to see them expanding because of their willingness to help others succeed with their gardens (it is easier to do with their starter plants, all grown on site.) Thank you Dave and Lori for all your wonderful advise and support.
As we begin to get our garden ready for planting again this year we find ourselves looking forward to going out to Gaia again to pick up this years plants, and to check out the new expansion project. We only have a week to wait as the gardens will reopen on April 24, 2010.
We just wanted to share the information on Gaia Garden Design as one of our favorite local businesses. With Dave's huge selection, very helpful nature and knowledgeable staff we are sure that it will quickly become a favorite of yours too.
