Tallahassee Real Estate Market Update - June 2007
The June figures are in, and they confirm what we already knew.... The Tallahassee Real Estate Market, while down from the boom markets, is alive and hanging in there. Where prices in most Florida Real Estate Markets have come down considerably, Average Sales Prices in the Tallahassee Real Estate Market are only slightly down. All of the enclosed charts and graphs were compiled by information provided by a third-party, Real Estate Sales Information company (Metro Market Trends).
The strongest performing sector is the Tallahassee Condominium Market, showing modest decreases in average sales prices and sporting the second best year on record in terms of Tallahassee Condominium units sold. With the continued growth of the Florida College system, we expect to see this market continue to be strong for many years to come. New Construction in Tallahassee, Florida seems to be making a turn to the positive. New permits are trending up for two consecutive months, hopefully we'll see the sales follow shortly.
Finally, I always like to take a peek at what Mobile Home Sales in Tallahassee are doing. With the prices of stick-built homes sky-high, many first time homebuyers are opting for mobile homes, bringing some renewed strength back to this market. Average prices seem to be holding steady, but unit sales are on the rise! Pay attention Real Estate Investors, this is one of the growing areas in Real Estate Investment!
Each month I will update the Tallahassee Real Estate Market Report with more news, charts, and commentary. If you missed last month's market report, you can find it in a previous Tallahassee Market Report on my blog site.
