We started out listing this Springfield Mo home in May, 2009 as a regular sale. But after several months of being on the market, I could tell the market was dropping faster than the price of the home.
I had spoken with the sellers and had them prepared to complete a short sale. As time went by, we had a few inquiries, yet no offers.
The home had a split foyer and so many buyers were not willing to do stairs every day.
The back yard was full of trees and old detached storage sheds that didn't appeal to many buyers.
Finally we had a great young couple decide to buy before the Stimulus package was gone and placed an offer on the home.
Working with two mortgage companies and two months of waiting, we closed on the property this week.
The sellers will be able to mend their credit and keep a foreclosure off their credit report.
