Yesterday (4/17) Taste of West Cobb was at the Avenues of West Cobb. This is an annual fund raiser for the Hillgrove High School Band. I sponsored the Kemp Elementary Robotics Team. It was an honor to help provide this great group a kids an opportunity to show the community what Lego Robotics is and how they are applying it to the classroom. It was a fun day spending time with their teacher and good friend of mine, MaryJo Groeneveld. She has done a great job with these kids.
The kids also have a campaign getting signatures to stop texting and driving. Hundreds of people signed the pledge and wore stickers validating their position on not texting and driving. Texting and driving is unfortunately becoming far to common and we must get the word out on how dangerous it is. Spread the word and sign a pledge to not text and drive.
Lots of great food at the Taste of West Cobb too! LaParilla, Shane's, Keegan's Irish Pub, Aspen's Steakhouse, Macaroni Grill, Johnny's Pizza and much more great food was enjoyed by all! I had the Irish Spring Roll from Keegan's Irish Pub. It was a yummy Reuben with Havarti cheese inside a spring roll. Thousand island dressing was the perfect finishing touch!
I thought it was an awesome day and community event. I look forward to sponsoring the Hillgrove High School Marching Band at next years Taste of West Cobb for sure!!! Thanks for the opportunity!!!!
