By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Keller Williams Realty

Hi again everyone!  Well today I'm looking for clever little items of value I can drop by to FSBO's in my neighborhood.  Anyone have any clever ideas I'd love any suggestions that you can offer!

Thanks

Welll....I always call and say i'm in the area previewing homes and when would be a good time to come by and preivew their home. Usually fsbo love for agents to come by. After you preivew the home tell them you hope they are successful in selling but if not then you would love to help. Give them your info and stay in touch. Ive been doing fsbo for 15 yrs. and this has always worked for me. One very important thing is STAY IN TOUCH

Idea'r of the week:  Wanna get a listing?  Contact a FSBO and let them know that your not trying to sell there home, but only would like to know you can provide them services as a Facilitator if they find a buyer.  I have offered Facilitator fees for about 6 per year and everyone buys a home from me.  That is our goal to find new clients that are interested in buying and selling.  Don't pass on the opportunity of the easiest angle to meet a FSBO, by not selling them anything, they will appreciate the call and tell you everything, and if they don't sell, your on there list to call for the listing, as well as if they do sell, your on there list to there new home!  After you make contact with them, stay in touch once a week with a nice gesture of some creative way of your nature.  Best of luck to you all!

Here it is.

Only one person can buy their home, but there will be many lookers. Ask them if they would mind passing your cards/flyers out to those looking to purchase.

Perhaps you can assist the FSBO by providing them with Recent Closed and Active Comps that are true comps and not "their wishful thinking" comps or the "heresay that the neighbor told them about"....

Perhaps you can assist them with their purchase of where they are moving to?....get them looking, create a profile in the MLS and start sending them their perfect dream homes.

With enough attention and weekly follow up, I'm betting you will turn this FSBO into a sold listing fast and a Buyer to boot! Good Luck.

Great ideas, I have also heard of providing them with all the forms necessary for selling a home.
