2010 Women's Olympic Hockey Silver Medal Winner: Kerry Weiland, #23
Kerry is a client who became a friend. I helped her find a place to live while she was training here in Blaine Minnesota at the Schwan Super Rink in the National Sports Center for about a year and a half leading up to the 2010 Olympics. She was one of the most interesting and fun clients I have ever had. I am so glad to be able to help her. This photos was taken a few weeks after the Olympics. I invited her to go out so we could catch up and celebrate her Silver Medal. We had a great time and I got to hold a real Olympic Silver Medal in my hands! What a thrill to know and work with someone as awesome as Kerry! However, to my dismay, we forgot to get a photo with Christina Sorbara who is Kerry's friend, companion, and mentor. Sorry Christina! But I wanted to say that if it wasn't for the efforts of people like Christina, we wouldn't have champions like Kerry! Christina took care of Kerry by handling the logistics and scheduling as well as providing a source of inspiration and experience for Kerry. What a dynamic duo!

The Silver Medal came with a neat scarf with a native northwest design. The scarf design represents the Orca which is a symbol of courage and strength and you'll notice a part of that design is also on the medal itself. Everything is designed so that when put the medals together (like a puzzle) and lay them out, it forms the same pattern as on the scarf! What a cool concept and a great way to represent teamwork!

Neat stuff, eh? I will be adding photos and updateing this blog post from time to time so check back for updates once in a while.
