Recently I received an email from my coach, she mentioned that Tom Ferry's book is getting closer to launching and that there is a little something I can do to help promote it...
Read a preview chapter and write a blog post about it... Hmm, well, that just sounds like hard work. Nonetheless, I think I will take on the challenge.

So, the preview chapter is chapter 4, and that chapter deals a little with insights and perhaps how to identify some areas we may want to work on in our lifes...

I chose to work the professional analysis on pg 46 in the book, and I looked at that, because it ties into how I represent my clients - which I always hope is good, however, better is a good thing, so lets eplore...

To really follow this... Read the preview chapter of the book found here: Chapter 4, The Problem of No Problems.

Now, there are a number of things here that skipped over pretty quick, I feel secure in my business, my clients tells me that I should. I am passionate (As my wife) and I feel that I get compensated well and I have the tools to help my clients.
Now, if this is all good and dandy, then what am I writing about? Well, let's jump on that little "Up to speed on technology" thing... Am I? Let's see, I do video blogs, I upload previews for my clients straight from my phone... I have a virtual office web site that manages many aspects of my business - some of you know, I used to be a software engineer - so I am fairly well tapped into all that and then some. I have closed a deal that came to through twitter...

Hmm, ok, so I **think** I am on top of it.

But... Here's my point, when I read a blog like Mike Browns, looking at the technology prospect for the next 5-10 years... I realize that there are facets to this business we will never be 100% in charge off, and technology is definitely one of them.

So - to answer the question, am I proficient in technology? Yes, as far as yesterday goes, for tomorrow, I really have to learn something new that will potentially help me be more efficient in the future.

Obviously, by identifying this, I am taking charge of what I need to do - hence - I am operating by design and not by having someone come whack me in the back of my head when it is too late anyway...

Oh - And I would REALLY like a full copy of the book so I can take it with me on my flight to Europe on 4/29... Who decided on May  for a release date? I have to sit on a plane for 10 hours and NOT read the rest of this book...

Tom Ferry: LIFE! By DESIGNThis post is to help promote Tom Ferry's upcoming book, LIFE! By DESIGN. The contents of my post are the result of some self reflection the preview chapter of the book asks us to do about ourselves.

You can Pre-Order the book now by visiting TomFerryBook.com. You can also participate in the promotion being done by ActiveRain for a chance to win some great prizes and 2500 points by visiting the promotional post here.

Everyone that orders a copy of the book between now and April 23rd, 2010 will also receive one ticket to attend Tom's Success Summit, August 24-26th and the MP3 audio role play program: Objection Handling for Buyers, Sellers and Short Sales.

In exchange for writing this post, I could win an iPad or other cool prizes, and this is to let you know so the FTC doesn't fine me.

You sound like you are up on technology.  The ones that can incorporate the cutting edge technology with "old school" people skills will win.
