On April 13, 2010, Andrew Cohn from the Jewish Business Magazine had the pleasure of interviewing  Adam Bierman from The BrandX Group in Los Angeles Californiathe founder of The BrandX Group, a comprehensive marketing, branding and public relations firm in Los Angeles, California, Adam Bierman. The BrandX Group in Los Angeles, California was founded in 2004, and today employees 27 marketing and public relations professionals. The BRANDX GROUP is a full-service brand management firm with capabilities including marketing, branding, public and media relations, product development, web design, business collateral, event planning and promotions that produce quantifiable results that improve the client's bottom line and gain exposure on a regional and national level. Adam was actually working as a sports agent, when a client needed the services of a marketing firm that could give quantitative results. Not being able to find a suitable marketing firm in Los Angeles, Adam decided to launch his own company from his apartment that could fill the needs of businesses and other commercial entities in Los Angeles, looking for branding, public relations, social media, advertising and other marketing tools for specific goals. Bierman loves his work, and it comes through speaking with him. Adam loves being able to work with so many different types of companies and learning their story and helping them achieve their goals. Adams clients span the full spectrum, including Indian Gaming, Food industry, Education, Sports, Entertainment and much more. A perfect client for BrandX Group is “a business or organization with an aggressive goal that relates to business.” Adam says that the BrandX Group isn’t a marketing firm you go to rebrand, just for the sake of rebranding. Your business needs to have a goal associated with your marketing efforts, because, “You can’t service that client well, you can’t do a good job for them, you can’t that production, because that’s not the way to build a long term relationship.” And that’s the business that BrandX Group is in, building a long term relationship and helping their clients grow and excel. The BrandX Group has grown up through the economy, so Adam really cannot say that he’s suffered a negative impact due to the downturn. On the economy’s impact on the BrandX Group, Bierman says, “It has changed our potential clients’ outlook on our services, and this is absolutely for the better.” He adds, “With efficiency a much higher priority, most businesses now have greater expectations for the returns on their campaigns. This has allowed our company to further distinguish itself from our competitors.” He says one of the keys to his success is coming in early and getting the business organized before the day starts. This organization allows Adam to be reactive the rest of the day. Adam has been involved with the Jewish Community as long as he can remember. After moving to California when he was 8, Adam attended the San Deigo Jewish Academy, and was introduced to Chabad while in High School. Adam says, “I found Chabad to be the perfect fit for the way Judaism influences my life.” Adam attended Brandeis University in Massachuesetts, and eventually moved back to California to pursue his business dreams. Adam is has been involved with the Chabad of Glendale. I have been involved in the Jewish Community since I can remember.  After moving to California when I was 8, I attended the San Diego Jewish Academy for 5 years and have continued an active involvement in the community ever since.  When I was a senior in High School a summer baseball coach of mine introduced me to Chabad.  I found Chabad to be the perfect fit for the way Judaism influences my life.  I moved on to attend Brandeis University and eventually moved back to California to pursue my business ventures. I have been involved with the Chabad of Glendale and Rabbi Backman for the last few years and enjoy being a part of the congregation as much as possible, which is sometimes harder now that I live in Marina Del Rey. Adam’s advice to young Jewish professionals looking to excel: “There are sets of values instilled in us as a part of the Jewish Community, and staying true to those values is ultimately supportive to success in business.  Regardless of your success, it’s important to stay humble and continue to participate in the community.  Valuing that connection serves as a constant reminder that you are but one piece of a puzzle infinitely larger than you can comprehend.  It keeps us humble and is a great reminder of the people and obligations that are truly important in life.”
