First Federal, oops I mean IndyMac, oops I mean OneWest

Real Estate Agent with Pacific Union International - Christie's Great Estates

Just a rant and a plea if someone can direct me to someone who can get my offer presented. I wrote an offer over 3 weeks ago on an active REO listing, as of today....no response, no counter, no nothing.

What a disgrace! The listing agent does not want to call the asset manager too much because he does not want to hurt his furture chances for more business and these cake listings. In the meantime the roof is leaking, has a tarp on it, and yes it is raining here.

Cool stuff. Can you beleive my buyer has the audacity to want to know what has happened with his offer. He kind of expected to get a rejection, a counter or something. This buyer is not a first time homebuyer, 25% down and loan approved. All in all, if they would have responded we would have been closing next week.

Keep making those deals US Government! OneWest, IndyMAc.... more of the same.

Can someone maybe give me a number to call other than Barbara Boxer, Pelosi or any of those yahoos?

Stefan I feel your pain. We've been dealing with reo issues for a couple of years.  Nothing moves fast and expect the unexected.  Big doses of patience on everybody's plaste is advised!

Anna, good to hear from you.

I called the corporate office and talked to someone who was shocked to be talking to me. Two days later I now have a counter offer. OF course that was a few days ago. Out here, usually on the REO's we get an acceptance within 7 days or so. Then we close pretty quickly, 25 - 45 days from the acceptance date.

Patience and not expecting anything that resembles a proper business. It is quite amazing that these are the holders of our financial health.

Have a great week. Stefan in the Napa Valley, CA
