The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) is pleased to announce the next show in their 2010 Season, the Roman Terleckyj Memorial starring Oscar nominee, 3 time Tony award winner, 3 time Emmy winner for his role as Dick Solomon on the TV show Third Rock from the Sun and Golden Globe winner, John Lithgow in his National Touring production of Stories by Heart. This show will have the added distinction of being the first performance in the newly renovated Festival Hall.

The series kicks off Saturday, May 15 with the VILLAGE Picnic. Whether it's fueling the Latin fire that burns inside of you with Zumba dance lessons from Courtney Pilgrim or satisfying your competitive edge over a friendly sack race, this carefree day will hold something for everyone. Mingle with family and friends on the Village Meadow for good games, good food, and good times all while listening and dancing to live tunes from The Wheels Band. Enjoy the magic of professional magician Bradley Morgan up close and personal then watch as he mystifies us all with his stage show. While you're there, make the most of the health screening opportunities from MCG Associates. The fun starts at 2:00pm with a special treat wrapping things up at 6:00pm.

ELEVEN Reynolds Plantation
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation
ELEVEN Reynolds Plantation is an Olympic distance triathlon consisting of a 0.9 mile swim, 25 mile bike, and 6 mile run.  Anyone is welcome to participate as an individual or as part of a relay team.  Prefer to just watch?  Bring the entire family to see all the action.  Each member will do one leg of the triathlon and in the case of a 2 member relay team, one person does two legs of the race.  This race forms part of 11 Global's international triathlon series, ELEVEN.  For more information, please visit www.11global.com/ELEVEN-Reynolds-Plantation.

11 Reynolds Plantation Kids Aquathon
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation

The run is 1 mile for both categories and will take place on the premises of The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation without accessing public roads. Kids may enter as part of a relay team splitting the swim and run duties. The age of the relay team swimmer will determine their race category. Participants will receive a race shirt and medal. Oconee Lighted Boat Parade
Presented by The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation

Twinkling boats will celebrate a Lake Country-Style summer holiday weekend at the Lighted Boat Parade on Friday, May 28, sponsored by The Herald-Journal, Lake Oconee Outfitters, The Sandbar at Granite Shoals Marina and The Ritz-Carlton Lodge. Spectators can enjoy the parade from The Lodge's waterfront restaurant Gaby's by The Lake among other places around the lake. Interested boaters are welcome to join the free event and compete for a $200-value grand prize for the best decorated boat. To register for the competition, call Lisa Lee at (706) 467-7008.
