We have seen this subject so often, Old Worn out business photos, You know the ones... When you meet the person and they are 20 years older than their picture... TIME TO GET A NEW ONE!

I try to keep mine up to date. So just a week or so ago I scheduled a local independent Photographer to take our pictures for my office. This is a great way to do it, you don't need prints, you really just need a quality professional photograph in a digital format.

Michelle Kasich is the local Photographer we used in Toms River, NJ. This is the second time she has done photos for our office. Michelle's Husband Steven is also a photographer.  Here is the REALLY Funny part. Michelle Specializes in animal photography, and Steven is the one that takes photos of families, portraits etc... But it has always been Michelle that has taken our pictures. You can click on their names to pop over to their websites.  If you want to know how to get that family portrait on the beach, Steven and Michelle are the go-to photographers for the job.

If you haven't done a photo recently, this is the way to do it Get the group together, share the costs and Heckle each other as the photo's are taken, Fun For all!  It is also a great opportunity to get group and team photo's taken as well.

Here are two of my latest pix, and I cant decide which one to use for my Activerain Profile, Any suggestions?

me me, no jacket

So, Which picture do you like best?

Have a great week!

I like the one on the right. It makes you look more approachable and professional at the same time.

Rob - I like the one on the right too but for a completely different reason.  I don't know maybe it's just me but the one on the left makes your head look bigger.  Maybe the photographer zoomed in on it or something or maybe it's the coat.  I don't know but your head looks smaller or thinner in the one on the right.  JMHO but either one and you're still a good looking guy.  :)

P.S.  the one with the sailing pix in the background though is the best.  :)

I am too tall for the photographer, she was standing on her couch to take my pix... added to the fun .  the one w/ the boats in the back ground is getting a little old, thought it may be time to change it.

Rob, I like the one on the right, too. It is because of your smile looks better, more friendly and "natural".  Don't underestimate the smile on your picture on any promotional items, I got a call today because the buyer likes my smile on my picture on the website, that's what she told me the reason she picked me.

My two cents -- I like the one on the left because of the contrast with the dark jacket.

Rob - I agree that a man's smile is a big eye catcher.  Between your newer pix and your current one, I agree that the one on the right has a nicer smile than all of them.

Thanks for the comments everyone (Even Donne who said I had a fat head!)

Looks like a mixed opinion, leaning towards the no jacket... But I agree with Richard, I like the contrast of the dark jacket... Still torn!

LOL  Ok handsome, in my defense, I still said you're a good looking guy with a great smile.  Basically, it has appeared to come down to this:  the ladies like the right one and the guys like the left one.  Which one is it going to be handsome Rob?   Hmmm....tough decision is it?

I think the pix in the jacket belongs on a business card and flyer -- the other is casual and should be on your blog and other casual marketing.

Daniel, I hate the glamor shots... they put people in such akward positions!

Robert - my preference would be the one on the left.

Thanks Kathy, I think I am going to end up using both of them on and off to keep things interesting.
