A view of the city rarely seen... Elk River

By

There is something about the city of Elk River that just gets under your skin. Growing up here it has always had a homey affect on me, but it was when I got married that I knew....

My hubby has been around the world and laughed the first time he came to visit our humble town of Elk River saying that we really were "out in the hicks." Since then his tune has changed and he's come to realize that we aren't so far from anywhere. The thing is... when my hubby is home he stays home. And that is what Elk River has become to him.

Over the last thirty years there has been tremendous growth in this area... in the highways, commercial development, schools and population. Elk River is a great little city that isn't far from anywhere.

A hop on a train to a Twin's game, a jot down the highways to the airport and Mall of America, or so much more.
If you are looking for a place to settle or just to visit Elk River is a great place to start!
We have a great selection of real estate from townhomes to executive homes. From young startups to retirement.
It's just a great place to be.

Lindsey:  I am mortified to have been so mixed up.  But, at least I remember what I was going to say in my comment... wherever it went.

Now... ahhem... what a wonderful and peaceful place Elk River seems to be.  A great plact to work and live, and yes, I understand about coming home and staying home.

Now... as I was hoping to say... LOL... it sounds like a place I would be very comfortable in... if only you could raise the average temperatures about thirty degrees.

A very appealing post.  Now... I wonder what I ended up saying in my comment on that other post ?  Who knows... it was late.

OK Ms Lindsey... I have made the comment I originally intended to make.  You may find it above... and... you really must have thought I had lost my mind when you saw that.

Actually... I think I know what happened.  With all these Bad Gateways and Errors, most times when I think of it... I scroll over the wording in my comment and hit "copy" before I hit the "Submit" button... so I will have it just in case it disappears into cyberland.  That is what must have happened... and then, when my comment to you disappered due to a Bad Gateway... I clicked in the blank space, and hit the word "paste" and then hit submit.  I guess I did not read what got pasted.

Does any of that make any sense ?

Take care...

Karen! Thanks for the chuckle. I figured as much must have happened. I wonder how often I do things like that. :0) Truly, I wish that we could raise the average temp too, but it works. I just tough the winters (though not always easy) and love the rest of the year!
