Pasadena Arlington Garden - Fertile Soil For Curb Appeal Inspiration

By
Home Stager with Moving Mountains Design Home Staging, Pasadena, CA

As a home stager in Pasadena, CA, I'm often asked where I get my inspiration from. For curb appeal, one of my favorite places is Arlington Garden, at the corner of Arlington and Pasadena Avenue in Pasadena. I'm fortunate to live nearby, and I have the pleasure of walking through the Garden several times per week when I'm walking the dogs.

Here's what's happening this week (in pictures) in Arlington Garden:

Purple Iris for Pasadena Curb Appeal

Purple iris in a flow of Candytuft

California Poppies for Pasadena Curb Appeal

California Poppies: With all the rain we've gotten this year, we should have a huge poppy bloom

Artichokes for Pasadena Curb Appeal

Artichokes make a very striking landscape plant (yes, these are edible)

The Garden is maintained by a very intrepid group of local residents, for which I am eternally grateful. There are many lovely garden "living rooms" where one can sit down, relax & enjoy the scenery. If you are in the Pasadena area, check out Arlington Gardens and see how it inspires you!

Those artichoke plants are making me hungry.  Nicely steamed with some melted butter - yum.  They look very pretty growing.  Don't think I've ever seen artichoke plants before.  Very pretty photos.

Thank you, Cathy Lee.

Sally, artichoke plants get huge, and you can get as many as 20 or so artichokes in one season. The biggest best choke is the king choke, the big one in the center. If you don't harvest them they have the prettiest blue/purple flowers.

I grew up living close to the artichoke fields on the Monterey Peninsula .... they are beautiful while growing and even better on the dinner plate!

Maureen: I'm planning to harvest one this afternoon!

Carole: I am, indeed, lucky. The Garden also includes a large citrus grove which gets harvested in January. I love seeing little kids picking their own orange. Its almost like magic to them.
