No soapbox speech for my Realtor's Take on Earth Day 2010 as I walk around my own green living RI backyard but I walk the talk of being a green living realtor. Probably alot of my belief in sustainable living came from going to the town landfill to drop the garbage off when I lived in more rural RI years ago. Then hearing about the superfund sites that bordered and negatively impacted the real estate in the surrounding area forever. So in my green living RI backyard in Kingston, RI, I became a certified organic farmer on my 8 acres of land. I was a corporate manager then and not a realtor but I understood that how you develop and treat real estate as well as people in a green living RI backyard would have a direct impact on all I touched....certainly it did in a great way for my kids.
So now my realtor's take on this earth day 2010 is a little different...personally I work hard on my 16 by 16 foot organic vegetable garden to sustain me & my neighbors. Compost as much as I can. Cultivate herbs from seed or cuttings that I share with all my real estate clients to hopefully encourage them to plant more and enjoy one's green living RI backyard. Irrigate responsibly, take a hint from this one:
I encourage all to plant something on this Earth Day 2010 because green living as a realtor is where we should want to be ....and hopefully I've planted that seed in you. Remember the truism that you tell 10 people who each tell 10 more people, who each tell 10 more people, etc.! Be a good dude on Earth Day 2010 and share some green living as i do from my RI backyard. So if I planted the real estate search seed in your head today maybe you might give me a call.
