With all the news and hoopla about the Buyer's Stimulus money, I was curious as to how stimulating it actually was.
So I did some digging...
In April of 2008, in Cass County, there were a total of 112 properties closed. That is all companies, all working together.Average sales price was $164,710.
In April of 2009, in Cass County, there were a total of 95 properties closed. That is all companies, all working together. Average sales price was $154,643.
In April of 2010, in Cass County, there are a total of 50 properties sold so far- all companies, all working together with the buyers that are working hard to get that tax rebate. Average sales price was $142896.
It may take more than the promise of a tax rebate to truly catch up to previous levels. Either that, or there will be a TON of closings in the next 8 days.
A girl can always dream, right?
