Isn't it funny how common themes appear, and become intertwined until you wake up one morning and
BAM
There they all are, smacking you in the face.
Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying " “Things may come to those who wait...but only the things left by those who hustle."
Today, I was on a call with a group of like minded Realtors from around the country, and the focus of our call is to be the ones that DON'T wait, to be the ones that TAKE ACTION. To that end, we reported an amazing number of calls made, listings taken, homes sold, and people helped.
Is there something you've been putting off? Maybe cleaning the closets or making home repairs in order to make your home show like a model home? Ask yourself: What is the opportunity cost for putting those things off another day(which will turn into weeks when you aren't looking)? Opportunity cost is a term from my economics class in college, and simply put, says you are missing something by delaying what needs to be done. Is what you're missing that eager, well qualified first time home buyer? How about that great deal on the foreclosure in the move up neighborhood you've been dreaming about? Take the steps necessary to take that first action, because all of those baby steps will lead you SOMEWHERE!
The lesson learned today, starting with Abe, and emphasized by the group- don't be the one to wait for it to fall into your lap. Be the one to shake the tree.
Remember, if you don't ask, the answer is always NO.
