We are blessed with a lot of lakes and ponds in the Wake County, North Carolina area.  But many people are frustrated that large lakes have developmental controls that prevent them from building waterfront homes.  Lake Royale in Franklin County is an exception.  Bunn Lake, on the Wake County/Franklin County boundary is another opportunity to live on the waterfront with a private dock or boathouse.

Bunn Lake is a private lake only 40 minutes from downtown Raleigh, roughly equal distant from Louisburg, NC and Smithfield, NC, and a short drive to Rocky Mount and Wilson, NC.  Salt water opportunities at the Outer Banks of North Carolina are within three hours away on US 64.

Older homes are generally very well-kept, with some homes removed for newer construction.  Waterfront lots are very valuable since most lakes are potable water reservoirs or flood control structures.  Bunn Lake was built for enjoyment!

This small private lake is a very attractive and popular setting.  Waterfront homes seldom are sold, and sell easily when they do go on the market.

Hi Mike,
With the highs in the upper 90s as is predicted for this week, on the water is certainly the place to be.  Looks like a lovely area.

Mike,

Looks wonderful - loved the water skiing shot in your video.  We just got back from the mountains this weekend and it certainly is HOT!

My your photos are very pretty.  What a great localism piece.  I've been in flat-land too long!
